Across the Asia-Pacific region, fetal medicine is developing rapidly.
Advanced ultrasound technology is becoming increasingly accessible—but technology alone is not enough.
We need people: clinicians, sonographers, researchers and future teachers who can develop their expertise and bring that knowledge back to their hospitals, universities and communities.
The Taiwan Institute of Fetal Medicine (TIFM) and Taiji Clinic, in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Tri-Service General Hospital, invite healthcare professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region to Taiwan for advanced training in fetal medicine.

Our program brings together the strengths of:
🩺 TAIJI CLINIC
A specialized fetal medicine practice dedicated to prenatal diagnosis, fetal ultrasound, education and clinical innovation.
🌱TAIWAN INSTITUTE OF FETAL MEDICINE (TIFM)
A platform connecting education, research and international collaboration in fetal medicine.
A major tertiary medical center providing fellows with broader exposure to hospital-based obstetrics and gynecology, high-risk pregnancy, multidisciplinary care and academic medicine.
Together, this collaboration creates a training environment extending from specialized fetal imaging and prenatal diagnosis to tertiary hospital care, research and academic medicine.

① SHORT-TERM INTERNATIONAL TRAINING | 1–3 MONTHS (Donated by the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation)
For international physicians, sonographers, nurses and related healthcare professionals seeking an intensive experience in fetal and perinatal medicine in Taiwan.
Selected fellows may receive:
NT$50,000 per month
Come to experience Taiwan, learn with our teams, exchange cases and ideas, and build relationships with colleagues in fetal medicine.
② CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP | 2 YEARS
For young healthcare professionals ready to make a deeper commitment to fetal medicine, research and academic development.
Selected fellows receive:
NT$50,000 per month for two years
1–2 fellows selected each year
Our goal is to help fellows progress from:
Clinical Skills → Research → Publication → Presentation → Teaching
We hope our fellows will eventually become not only experienced fetal medicine professionals, but also researchers, educators and future leaders who can develop fetal medicine in their own countries.
